Boating Classes

Flotilla 19 conducts various boating classes throughout the year. Class schedules are posted at various marinas and other locations throughout the Bay County Area. Schedules are also posted on this flotilla web site. You can also email  the staff officer for Public Education, the email link is located in the Flotilla Officer page of this web site.

Some of the Public Education classes taught by Flotilla19  include, Boating Skills and Seamanship, America's Boating Course, Suddenly In Command, Sailing Fundamentals, GPS For Mariners, How To Read A Nautical Chart, Basic Navigation Course and Advanced Navigation Course.

Member Training Courses include, Auxiliary Seamanship, Auxiliary Patrols, Auxiliary Communications, Auxiliary Weather, Auxiliary Search & Rescue and Auxiliary Basic & Advanced Navigation. There are many more classes available as an Auxiliarist. Most of the Auxiliarist courses are funded by the flotilla for its members. Another good reason to become a US Coast Guard Auxiliarist. All courses are sanctioned by the U.S. Coast Guard Headquarters, Office of Auxiliary, Washington, D. C.. Which falls Under the Department of Homeland Security.
